Aim:

promoting a better environment in the neighbourhood of the Goit as it runs through Abbey Village Withnell, and Brinscall in the Parishes of Withnell and Heapey
Objectives:
The group will fulfil this aim by:
carrying out and promoting both environmental improvement and practical conservation activity within the
local area
​
educating, encouraging and supporting the local community in environmental practice by working with them and other stakeholders, including statutory and non-statutory agencies and Utility Companies.
Involving local people and schools in improving the area.
Promoting community recreation.
Raising funds and receive contributions where appropriate to finance work.
publicise and promote work.
Open and maintain a bank account.
Make rules and standing orders for categories of members and their rights.
Take out insurance.
Organise meetings, training courses and events.
Work with similar groups and exchange information and advice with them.
Take any action that is lawful, which would help it to fulfil its aims.
